This is where every Cerdae R Us update is stored. All updates relating to the project go here. Site Status updates do not go here as they are temporary and only display updates about the site itself, and not the adopt. All posts are marked by the date it was posted and include a forum post link so you may easily access the original.

Grand Opening and First Event: Fishing (Sept. 1st 2025)

Today marks the grand opening of Cerdae R Us! Every adoptable costs 8 gems for one (1) or 35 gems for five (5). Current daily limit is 10.

There are 80 different colors and 10 markings for the cerdae to come with! There is also a chance to get a collectable item along with your adopted cerdae. Collect all the collectables in a set and you will earn an exclusive badge in return.

Today is also the first day of our fishing event, where you can spin a wheel to catch a fish and gain access to 4 event-exclusive markings! This event will run for 2 weeks, after that it will return later for only 1 week at a time.

New Feature: The Shop! (Sept. 4th 2025)

You can now buy items at the shop. There is new a bait item there that allows you to spin Mira's wheel 1 extra time a day! I hope to add permanent items soon as well.

Bait (Fishing only) • 10g/kt.

A worm you can put on your fishing rod. This item gives you +1 spin on the wheel when fishing with Mira. Can only be used once a day.

And a marking preview. Working on a few that will release later! No set release date for these, though

New stuff from this update:

2 new markings! Execute and Rounded (in order above) are now available on adopts. Previews are available on the website.

There is also a new item in the shop:

Rough Chocolate Coin • 8g/kt.

A rough chocolate coin, still good to eat. You can use this item once a day to get one (1) extra Cerdae.

DND Dice are also still available to collect this week. Buyers have a 50/50 chance to get one in an order! Collect the whole set and you'll get a badge as a reward.
There is no event this week, unfortunately. But have fun collecting!

Halloween Event: Trick or Treating

For the next 2 weeks, buyers can now receive 1 to 5 pieces of candy per order! This candy is used to purchase costumes from the events tab.

All you have to do to participate in the event is to buy a Badly Painted Pumpkin Pale for 2g/kt! Available in the events tab.

Badly Painted Pumpkin Pale • 2g/kt.

A goofy looking pumpkin bucket... thing. Purchase one to participate in the trick or treating event. One use.

There are 12 costumes available, including 3 expressions and several variations!

• Cowboy Hat
• Pumpkin Bucket
• Demon Horn Headband
• Shark Hood
• ...and more!

All of which can be seen and previewed in the events tab.

There is one special costume though, that is customizable. The stockings can come in any colors you'd like and come in 2 patterns!

And for the duration of this event, the Ghost marking now has a higher chance of showing up!

Legendary Bases are here!

That's right. They're finally available, and have a heightened chance of showing up this week! But only until Oct. 25th, afterwards the bases will return to their original rate/chance.

Some of the bases are already in this updates banner, but they will be properly and fully revealed when discovered!

When a legendary base is unveiled after discovery it is added to the website, and a post will be made with the preview and a ping to the updates pinglist.

Secrets..?

At first I wasn't going to address the "+ secret stuff" in the banner for this update, but there is a secret mechanic that has yet to be discovered. Behind the scenes I have been adjusting the rates that said mechanic shows up with, and I've finally gotten percentages I'm satisfied with.

Before the rate was 200 over 0.01. With the 200 being a transparent layer and the 0.01 being attached to each image thereafter. The 200 made it nearly impossible to discover it, so now the rate has been changed to 18 over 0.01.

Hopefully someone discovers it these next 2 weeks! This is a mechanic that is very much favored by me.

Fixed some bugs:

• Fade has been updated for consistency, as well as had a few missing pixels filled in.

The missing pixels weren't that significant, but I thought I might as well fill them in while I fixed the consistency
• Fixed a color issue with Fern, specifically with the color C40 (Black). The base color did not match the actual color. This has been corrected.
• The "How to Adopt" banner will be updated accordingly, with new cerdae. You can still view the old one here.

If you have a cerdae with Fern (C40/black) or Fade (all colors) then I will remake the image with the fixed version for you, just PM me!

DND Dice are also still available to collect this event. Buyers have a 50/50 chance to get one in an order! Collect the whole set and you'll get a badge as a reward. The set will "retire" after this event.

There are no new markings this week, enjoy the event! Fun fact: Fade has been redone 6 times now.

Update and Future Plans (Nov. 27th 2025)

I apologize for the radio silence from me lately, been very busy IRL and left tired at the end of the day. This means I don't have a lot of time or motivation to work on the cerdae.

However, I plan to open tomorrow (and go until next Friday, Dec. 6th) with 4 new markings and the fishing event again, for those who missed it the first time.

Unfortunately there is no new event or collectable this time around but I have some ideas in mind.

So with that said I'd like to outline what I have planned for the future:
• Several new markings (of course), including an Arapaima-inspired one, a chess/checkers one and a Jaguar-inspired rosette marking.
• Brainstorming new events and fun mechanics that go with them.
• Updates to the website UI, after I complete my personal one.
• A brand new marking gimmick that spruces things up a little. Some markings have black patterns on them across-the-board (all colors).
• Potions and tarot card collectable sets + brainstorming more.
• NOTN chest exchange for cerdae. (This will not include eggs)

Some of these will take a long while, but they will be done regardless. Art takes time but I hope this gives some peace of mind that I have not abandoned this (it's been around 3 weeks now?) and will continue to work on it.

That being said soon after this post the website will be updated with tomorrow's new markings, as well as the discovered legendary bases from the other week.

Fishing Event

The fishing event has returned, along with its npc, Mira! Go to the events tab for more details on how to fish.

There are no new event markings this time, unfortunately.

New Shop Item:

The shop now features a new item that reveals what's hidden underneath a legendary base!

Reveal Star • 10g/kt.

A star harvested straight from the sky! Cerdae keep these as trinkets. Use one to reveal what's underneath a legendary base.

The new cerdae will have a star on its image to indicate it's an already existing one that's been uncovered. Example:

There are no new collectables this time around, but there are some planned! See the previous post for more info on that.

Discovered Feature: MUTATIONS! (Nov. 29th 2025)

Congratulations to the very lucky user who discovered this and allowed me to finally reveal the secret feature detailed in my Halloween opening post!

What are the mutations?

Piebalds and Patches! Piebalds are white, and Patches are black. This mimics albinism and melanism. There are even pies/patches that cover the entirety of the cerdae!

How do I get one?

The same as everything else: random chance. There is an 18 over 0.01% chance to get a pie/pat, and an 18 over 0.010% chance to get a full-coverage version!

The odd percentage was explained in my Halloween post, but I will refresh you on it here;

The 18 represents a transparent layer (that shows up most of the time). If the transparent layer doesn't show, the generator then rolls the 0.010 for the full-coverage, then the 0.01 afterwards.

It starts with piebalds, then patches. Rolling a 0.10 for full albino, then 0.01 for all piebalds after, then the 0.010 for full melanistic, then 0.01 for all patches after. If all the rolls for these fail the transparent layer remains and there is no pie/pat!

The Reveal:

This feature was very fun to make the art for, and I plan to add to it over time. There is currently 8 total Piebalds/Patches (including the full-covers)!

And with the public release of the mutation, the Reveal Star has been updated!

New Markings, Rates and Collectables

This week instead of two (2) new markings, there's three (3)! I wanted Honeycomb asap so it's been added alongside Stripe and Banded this week.

I have also adjusted the rates for mutations and legendary bases, so they should be slightly more common then they were before.

This week has a new collectable set! Every order you have a 50/50 chance of rolling 1 of 4 potions!

There's no new event this week, but I have 2 in the works! They may take a while though as I still have plenty of work to do for them. One may require a spreadsheet and art still needs to be drawn for some parts, as well as additional brainstorming. Thank you for being patient either way <3

Shooting Lights Festival

The Shooting Lights Festival is in full swing for the next 2 weeks! Go to the events tab and talk to Novia to find out how to get cerdae from this event.

The Shooting Lights Festival has 4 exclusive markings and 2 exclusive bases! As always the bases will be revealed upon discovery.

The website will be updated with this events details, marking previews, the new NPC and this update soon after this post goes up.
